Mena Makes More Malevolence

The weekends are usually slow for horror news, but when a convention is going on … the phone just doesn’t stop ringing.

I just got a call from Butane, who is still attending the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, and he informed me that Clerks actor Brian O’Halloran spilt the beans about Stevan Mena’s upcoming project. No, it’s not the one both Brian and Stevan are working on, Brutal Massacre: A Comedy. It is the sequel to Mena’s 2004 flick Malevolence (review).

Not much more was said other than Stevan Mena will be returning to the director’s chair for the sequel and to expect its release sometime next year. When we find more out, we’ll update.

O’Halloran was doing a panel for Brutal Massacre: A Comedy, a movie we reported on here at the time this information was revealed. Nothing remarkable must have been said during the Q&A, but we’d like to direct you to the film’s official site so you can take a look at what Dante has been up to since the Quick Stop closed down.
