In 2013, Richard Brooker, who played Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part 3, passed away. Several years prior to his passing, the Higgins Haven cabin, where much of that film was shot, was burned to the ground. To honor both of these tragic events, the former a painful loss for friends, family and colleagues while the latter is a blow to film enthusiasts and historians, director Kevin R. Phipps is working on Friday the 13th Part 3: In Memoriam, a documentary that originally was going to focus on the set burning but has since grown and expanded into a remembrance of Brooker.
Per the page, “There will also be insight, memories and stories shared about the man Richard Brooker was. This DVD will be utilizing Harry Manfredini classic soundtrack from 1982.”
Three posters for the film have been released and can be seen below.
