In Minnesota? Looking for some free indie horror action? Then we have some info on a free double bill that you’re not going to want to miss! Grab a raincoat and bring a drink! Things may just get really sticky!

On Saturday, April 23rd, both Thirsty, the award-winning short film by Andrew Kasch based on the Joe Knetter short story, and the newest sliver of sasquatchploitation, Shriek of the Sasquatch, will be playing together at the Andover Cinema (1836 Bunker Lake Blvd., Andover, Minnesota) at 10:00pm!

Thirsty
Based on the short story of the same name from cult horror author Joe Knetter (Zombie Bukkake, review here), “Thirsty” stars Joe Lynch (director of Wrong Turn 2), Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons), and Michael Bailey Smith (The Hills Have Eyes) along with including several voice cameos from various genre icons and filmmakers. The 15-minute short was directed by Andrew Kasch (“The Fall”, Never Sleep Again) from a screenplay by David Rosiak (Ring of Death) and filmed by Buz Wallick.

Shriek of the Sasquatch
Bigfoot Terror in 1979! This faux retro drive-in movie complete with film damage and cheesy synth music stars Scarlet Salem (Strip Club Slasher), Donny Versiga, Todd Cockroft, Ted Alderman, Lanee Landry, Michelle Trasatti, Luc Bernier, Deanna Meske, Alice Ford, Oscar Dukes, Mona Duvera, Wesley O’Mary, Laura Aust, Lucien Eisenach, and Jenn Ruliffson. Directed by Steve Sessions.
