We recently caught up with director Greg McLean to get the scoop on his latest film, Jungle, and we have the skinny on it right here for you! Read on!

It’s a different kind of film for me,” McLean tells us. “It’s a departure in the sense that it’s an adaptation of a book. It’s a true story about a young guy who got lost in the Amazon jungle, so it’s a survival story but also has a very spiritual quality to it. It is about his emotional and spiritual transformation through this incredible survival story. So it definitely has some thriller elements and scary moments, but it’s more a film about what it takes to survive in the world we’re in.”

The thriller is based on a memoir of the same name by Yossi Ghinsberg and follows the story of three young men who enter the Amazonian jungle with a mysterious guide.

Daniel Radcliffe, Thomas Kretschmann, Alex Russell, Joel Jackson, and Yasmin Kassim star in the film, which is directed by McLean from a script penned by Justin Monjo.

McLean also produces the project along with Dana Lustig, Gary Hamilton, Mike Gabrawy, and Todd Fellman. Arclight Films is handling worldwide sales and is packaging the film.
