The Dark Mile Trailer is Grim, Oppressive, and Full of Paranoia
A trailer for the British folk horror film The Dark Mile has been released and can be seen below. The film is about a lesbian couple that go on a vacation after dealing with a personal tragedy. However, strange occurrences begin happening around them and the locals don’t seem to be taking too kindly to their presence.
The film will make its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. More details on that screening can be found here.
Directed by Gary Love from a screenplay by Gaby Hull, The Dark Mile stars Rebecca Calder, Deirdre Mullins, Paul Brannigan and Finlay MacMillan.
Synopsis:
London couple Louise and Clare (Rebecca Calder and Deirdre Mullins) book a sailing trip in the Highlands to recover from a personal tragedy. The location may be idyllic but soon they are tormented by a black industrial barge that follows them, and by the dysfunctional folk on board… Hints of the occult and paganism point to dark times ahead as the tension mounts.
