Stranger Things Producer Talks New Monsters in Second Season

It feels like a very long wait until this Halloween when Netflix will be dropping the second season of their hit supernatural mystery series “Stranger Things”. With little to go on and several unanswered questions still lingering from the first season, fans (such as myself) are desperate for any news about what is coming next.
While he didn’t say too much, show director/producer Shawn Levy spoke recently with YouTube channel Gold Derby about the second season, saying, “Will Byers is very much at the center of several intersecting challenges, threats in season two and I think overall the forces of evil that are inherent in season two make that Demogorgon look quaint in retrospect.”
Considering we’ve seen flashes of a giant monster in the skies over Hawkins, I’m not surprised it’ll make the Demogorgon look quaint! And having Will be the focus of the second season makes total sense. While his disappearance was the core of the first season’s plot, he himself was absent for the vast majority of the show. Now that he’s back, it makes all the sense in the world that we want to see what the Upside-Down did to him during his stay there.
