The Sandman Still Snoozing for WB

Sometimes it seems as if certain projects are destined never to be made. A live action adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman definitely seems to be one of them.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke – who was attached to develop a TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed comic book series – says the project is not happening.

Unfortunately, for a lot of varying reasons, Sandman is not in the works, at least for this season,” Kripke sadly tells THR. Oh, well. Back to the old drawing board.

Sandman tells the tale of Morpheus, the Lord of the Dreaming, a deity who personifies dreams. The book began in the horror realm but quickly made its mark in fantasy and mythology as Gaiman introduced the Endless, a group of powerful brothers and sisters named Destiny, Death, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium (as well as Dream).
