Raven Banner is bringing the charm of 50’s sci-fi/B-horror back with It Came From the Desert, an adaptation of the 1989 Cinemaware video game of the same name! The film is being hailed as, “…a motocross action film with giant ants.” That kinda sounds like this scene from Eight Legged Freaks.

As of now, there is no release date for the film, which was directed by Marko Mäkilaakso, who co-wrote the film with Trent Haaga and Hank Woon Jr. The movie stars Mark Arnold and Harry Lister Smith.

In the original game, the player took on the role of Dr. Greg Bradley, a geologist who goes into the remote wilderness of Nevada to investigate a meteor crash. It turns out that the radiation from the meteor has made the local ant population much larger than usual and its up to him to get evidence, convince the town of their impending doom, and also contain the threat.
