20th Century Fox released a slew of new and rescheduled release dates today (including the Avatar films if you’re a fan of those), and per Box Office Mojo, we’re gonna have to wait six months longer to see what Shane Black has cooking for The Predator.

Instead of the originally announced February 9, 2018, we’re now looking at an August 3rd release for the film, which stars Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key. With a cast like that, we don’t mind waiting a few extra months for everything to come together properly – it’s high time The Predator got his due in a good film.

Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon — who produced the original — are producing.
