SXSW 2017: Ashleigh Cummings Opens Up About Her Challenging Role in Hounds of Love

The Ben Young-directed Australian thriller Hounds of Love (review) had its North American premiere at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, and it stunned audiences and wowed us with its intensely serious and emotionally exhausting view of sexual assault.

Following a couple (Emma Booth and Stephen Curry) who kidnap a young woman (Ashleigh Cummings), we bear witness to how low a person can sink, to what depths they must fall, before it becomes too much and they snap. It’s a heartbreaking film that is helped by the stunning performances of the three leads, each of whom play their roles with frightening, yet brutally honest sincerity.

We were lucky enough to catch up with star Ashleigh Cummings at SXSW, where we spoke with her about the film, her role, and what the future holds! You can watch the video interview below.
