Exclusive: Set Visit, New Images, and Interviews: ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2
With director Rob Hall’s ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest 2 currently in post-production, we thought it time to bring you exclusive stills (see ‘em below) and news from our November 19, 2010, set visit to the Los Angeles production.
Also included are interviews from the same with co-writers Hall and Kevin Bocarde and principal cast members Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010, “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”), Brian Austin Green (“The Sarah Connor Chronicles”), Mimi Michaels (Boogeyman 3) and “ChromeSkull” himself – actor, stuntman and tattooed bad-ass Nick Principe.
At the time shooting not far from Rob Hall’s Almost Human, Inc., studio in Eagle Rock, CA (the FX company that has delivered the makeup creations for such flicks as last year’s The Crazies, Paranormal Activity 2, Devil and countless more), the sequel to 2009’s Laid To Rest was in full swing just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, with cast and crew prepping for a rather creative and gruesome in-camera decapitation shot.
The sequel, which commences three months after the original’s narrative, finds unlucky raver Tommy (Thomas Dekker) struggling to come to terms with his encounter with the masked killer – and now in the clutches of the maniacal Preston (Green), a mysterious player with a sinister connection to ChromeSkull. Throwing into the mix Jess (Michaels), a woman unfortunate enough to have attracted the attentions of the voyeuristic madman, and Detective King (actor Owain Yeoman), a man who works feverishly to unravel the continuing murder spree, ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest 2 is determined to expand Chromey’s universe (and from the clips we saw, it succeeds). Rounding out the cast are Danielle Harris (Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Hatchet II), Brett Wagner (The Crazies) and Aimee Lynn Chadwick (Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis).
Dread would like to thank Heather Wixson for her facilitation of the visit and Ryan Turek and Staci Layne Wilson for their ‘Wonder Triplets Activate’ cooperation.

Enough talk! Check out the interviews and images below!
SPOILER ALERT: The cast and crew talk very openly about the sequel so you may run into a spoiler or two here and there. Always read the question FIRST and then decide whether or not you want to know the answer.
