The joygasm I’ve been personally having since it was announced that Mike Dougherty would be the man bringing Godzilla: King of the Monsters to the big screen in 2019 has been just incredible. We’ve been devouring every bit of news we can find, and with today comes another golden nugget.

The folks over at Omega Underground have stumbled across a start of production date, and it sounds like the return of Big G will begin filming in Atlanta, Georgia, starting on June 19th.

“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown will appear in Legendary’s sequel to Godzilla.

The film is part of the Legendary and Warner Bros. cinematic universe and will be released on March 22, 2019. Michael Dougherty is directing from a script by Dougherty and Zach Shields.

Up next for Legendary is Kong: Skull Island on March 10, 2017, also via Warner Bros. Yep, things are looking wonderfully monstrous! Get excited, kids; this is gonna be massive!
