On this day in 1943 director Tobe Hooper was born and decades later he’d give us one of the most beloved and visceral films ever made in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Hooper later went on to deliver such classics as Poltergeist, Salem’s Lot, The Funhouse, Lifeforce and many more.
