Vestron Video Collector’s Series Granting Your Greatest Wish With the Wishmaster Collection 4-Film Blu-ray Set

Sure, a steelbook special edition fully loaded collector’s edition Blu-ray of Popcorn is nice and all but how can that news possible top Lionsgate’s surprise announcement today that they’re dropping a four-film Blu-ray collector’s set of the Wishmaster franchise at the end of March.
Why do I hear cricket’s chirping? Stop that! It’s Wishmaster, people! You’ll get hi-def upgrades of the Robert Kurtzman-directed theatrically released “Wes Craven Present…” original and the Jack Sholder-written/directed direct-to-video sequel and whatever the last two are that even evil djinn himself Andrew Divoff couldn’t bother to come back for. Honestly, I’ve never seen 3 or 4. To be even more honest, I forgot 4 even existed at all.
But I’m sure this franchise has its hardcore fans who will be clamoring for this set so let’s recap what you get?
WISHMASTER (1997): Magically powerful. Supernaturally evil. The ancient entity known in human legend as the Djinn can grant a person’s wildest dreams. And in the process, it unleashes your darkest nightmares.The moral of the explosively terrifying, special-effects-powered, horror-fantasy spectacular: Be careful what you wish for!
WISHMASTER 2: EVIL NEVER DIES (1999): When the legendary monster, the Djinn, is re-released, he begins his reign of terror, plunging the earth into horror and chaos. As the Dijnn reaches his goal of a thousand captured souls, it is up to Morgana to stand between the world as we know it and a terrifying future beyond our darkest fears.
WISHMASTER 3: BEYOND THE GATES OF HELL (2001): Horror goes to extremes with Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell, the goriest installment of the hit franchise yet. When Diana, a beautiful coed, discovers an ancient gem inside a mystical Persian case, she unwittingly releases the mercilessly evil “Djinn.” The gut-slinging demon uses fiendish trickery to take the form of a professor in order to slice, dice and burn his way through the university staff and its students. Lionsgate will be releasing the Wishmaster Collection to Blu-ray via their Vestron Video Collector’s Series on March 28th.
