Grindhouse Honors Bob Clark
It was just one month and ten days ago when director Bob Clark was taken away from us, leaving behind many memorable films from not only the horror genre (Black Christmas) but also a beloved childhood favorite of many, A Christmas Story. Though his life was cut short by someone’s stupidity, we can still honor his memory and that is exactly what the Grindhouse Film Festival is going to do.
The Grindhouse Film Festival will be held on the 22nd of this month at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. For just $8 you can get into the event that starts at 7:PM and will be screening a couple of Bob’s great contributions to the horror genre. The official word is that the festival will be showing 35mm prints of Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things and Deathdream. Along with these two films there will be a raffle and special guests to talk about Clark’s work.
Though the guests have yet to be announced we’ll keep checking the Grindhouse Film Festival’s MySpace page for more details.
