Lizzie Borden Takes an Axe to Another Biopic
The legend of Lizzie Borden keeps on making a killing on film as Deadline is reporting that Jay Huguley has been cast opposite Kristen Stewart and Chloë Sevigny in the Craig William Macneill-directed upcoming Untitled Lizzie Borden biopic. The script was written by Bryce Kass, and filming is said to begin next week.
The film revolves around the story surrounding the infamous murder trial of convicted axe killer Elizabeth Borden (Sevigny), who was eventually acquitted for the 1892 murder of her father and stepmother in Fall Rivers, MA. Huguley will play William Henry Moody, the prosecuting attorney in the case. Stewart plays Bridget Sullivan, the Bordens’ live-in maid and a key witness.
Naomi Despres and Elizabeth Destro are producing.
Huguley was recently seen in AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and “Halt and Catch Fire,” HBO’s “Treme,” and films like 12 Years a Slave and surfer pic Ride.
