The Witch Casts a Spell on 2016 Reaper Awards – Winners Announced!

Reaper AwardsIt’s Halloween, which means today’s the day we reveal the winners of the 2016 Reaper Awards, presented by Home Media Magazine and Dread Central.

Lionsgate’s The Witch earned the top honor this year, taking the Horror Title of the Year trophy. The critically lauded horror film also earned Choice Theatrical Cut and Best Big Bad for the character of Black Phillip the Goat.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s The Final Girls won Best Limited Release/Direct-to-Video Title, while Best Title From the Vault went to Shout! Factory’s Army of Darkness — Collector’s Edition.

Best Collection went to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s The X-Files Collector’s Set.

The 2016 Reaper Awards, presented by Home Media Magazine and DreadCentral.com, honor the top horror and thriller titles released between August 1, 2015, and July 31, 2016. Studios submitted contenders for consideration by a panel of judges in conjunction with a consumer vote.
