Whatever happened to Michelle Rodriguez? One minute she’s on Lost, and the next she’s doing time in the slammer. Is she still in there? Apparently not since we got word of a new Wes Craven production that has her listed as one of the leads with Nick Mastandrea making his directorial debut in The Breed (review).
The official synopsis states that a group of friends (Michelle Rodriguez, Taryn Manning, Hill Harper and Oliver Hudson) fly away to a deserted island for a weekend excursion. They realize that this beautiful getaway was once controlled by a special canine research unit and it will soon become their biggest nightmare. Inspired by horror classics…The Breed takes you into the jaws of a flesh-eating pack of wild dogs, genetically engineered to hunt and kill. Outnumbered and trapped, they struggle to outsmart and outrun this terrifying species.
Been a while since a good killer dog movie. I’ll bite. The DVD art looks pretty good, and the thought of Michelle Rodriguez being attacked by evil dogs while driving drunk on a deserted island makes me a little giddy with anticipation.
