While we wait for The CW to officially release the Season 8 key art for “The Vampire Diaries,” which we got an early peek at during this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, up now we have a new promo for the show’s October return.

The search for Damon and Enzo goes on…

The final 16-episode season of “The Vampire Diaries” will premiere on Friday, October 21st (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), with the finale date to be announced later. The series is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Outerbanks Entertainment, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, and CBS Television Studios.
