The Ninth Passenger Makes a Killing for Lionsgate UK

There’s just something so mysterious about taking a voyage out to sea. Spooky shit can and will happen while adrift. Case in point: The Ninth Passenger. According to Variety Lionsgate UK is in negotiations with producers to distribute the new thriller starring Jesse Metcalfe in the UK.
Alexia Fast (Jack Reacher) also stars with Tom Maden (“Scream: The TV Series”), Veronica Dunne (“K.C. Undercover”), Sabina Gadecki, Corey Large (It Follows), David Hennessey, Cinta Kiehl, and Timothy V. Murphy.
Shooting begins next week in Vancouver.
Ian Pfaff is directing from a script by Large and Steve Albert. Large’s 308 Enterprises is producing with Gary Ousdahl of Advanced Management, with Isaac LeFevre and Felipe Dieppa serving as executive producers.
The Ninth Passenger follows a group of college students on a spontaneous midnight sea voyage that turns horrific when they drift to a dark island and are hunted by a mysterious ninth passenger.
“I am excited to be back in my hometown of Vancouver,” Large said. “This is the first of several productions we (308 Entertainment) plan on bringing here. With this first-rate cast, a stellar script, and the fantastic locations, we are confident this will be a film audiences will enjoy.”
