#SDCC16: Aliens Cast Reuniting at Comic-Con; 30th Anniversary Blu-ray Coming Soon
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re well aware by now that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Aliens, which was celebrated back in April with the first ever “Alien Day.” And if you thought the celebration was exclusive to that 24 hours, well, you were damn wrong. We’re celebrating all year long, baby!
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, this month’s San Diego Comic-Con will feature an Aliens reunion on Saturday, July 23, which is sure to be a must-attend for all fans. James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver will be on hand for the Hall H panel along with stars Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, Paul Reiser, Michael Biehn, and Carrie Henn and producer Gale Ann Hurd.
The celebration will continue when Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment releases a 30th anniversary Aliens Blu-ray on September 13, going up for pre-order at Fox’s Comic-Con booth. The first 250 pre-orders will get an exclusive lithograph.
The set will feature a new interview with James Cameron on the design and inspiration of the film, and it will include both the theatrical cut and the special edition. It will also come with a new commentary track as well as previously released deleted and extended scenes. Collectible art cards round out the package.
