Filming began this week on another remake of George Romero’s Day of the Dead, and while that may sound like a terrible idea to you, the good news here is that this one promises to be quite a bit different than the original. It may turn out to be an in-name-only affair, which is totally fine with us. After all, you can’t remake perfection.

The post-apocalyptic tale follows a former medical student tormented by a dark figure from her past, who happens to be a half-human, half-zombie hell-bent on destroying her.
