Whenever a genre starts to become stale, it’s nice when something comes along that completely turns the wheel. Such is the case with the trailer for the Finnish film Lake Bodom, which looks like it could be the freshest and most stylish slasher in years.

Loosely inspired by the real-life Lake Bodom killings back in 1960, which to this day have yet to to be solved, the film stars Nelly Hirst-Gee, Santeri Helinheimo Mäntylä, and Mimosa Willamo. Taneli Mustonen directs, and it hits Finland on 19 August.
