Inhale ’80s Nostalgia With These Fright Flicks Candles!

The 1980s were a glorious time to be a horror fan, as new movie monsters were being introduced at a steady clip and makeup FX artists were continually one-upping each other. In the ’80s, horror was practically EVERYWHERE, and Topps cashed in by launching the Fright Flicks trading card line at the tail end of the decade.

Each pack of Fright Flicks came with 9 cards, one sticker, and of course, a rock hard stick of gum that dared you to eat it. Images of Freddy Krueger, Pumpkinhead, Predator and Amy from Fright Night adorned the bright yellow packaging, and the cards themselves depicted ’80s horror gems like Day of the Dead, The Fly, Alien and An American Werewolf in London.

It was a glorious time to be alive, and now you can relive a healthy dose of that nostalgia.

Horror Decor and myself have teamed up to unleash a line of Fright Flicks-inspired candles, which are available now. Measuring 3.5″ tall x 3″ wide, and each made with approximately 9 ounces of scented soy wax, the four glass candles in the line are made to look like those iconic Fright Flicks packages, and the scent, of course, is bubblegum.

In addition to the candles, Fright Flicks magnets are also available, but you’ll have to act fast because all of the products in the Fright Flicks line will only be available through this Sunday, May 29th. The candles are selling for $13 each, with a reduced price if you buy all four at once, and the magnets are $7.50 each (with shipping already included in that price.)
