Sometimes the Internet is a beautiful thing. Yesterday we reported that AMC Theatres announced they were considering an option that would allow texting in their theaters during theatrical engagements. We, like many of you, blew our tops once we learned of this. Thanks to public outcry on social media and more, they’ve changed their tune.

We have heard loud and clear that this is a concept our audience does not want,” AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron wrote in a note posted on the company’s Twitter feed. “With your advice in hand, there will be NO TEXTING ALLOWED in any of the auditoriums at AMC Theatres. Not today, not tomorrow, and not in the foreseeable future.

Let today be known as a day to celebrate common sense and simple consideration of others! Win.
