A Trailer That Hopes to Make You Die a Violent Death
Die a Violent Death. Now that’s what we call a great film title! But will this new Thai anthology film live up to its promise of gore and mayhem? We’ve got a look at the English subtitled trailer to whet the old whistle!
Coming at us from the company behind Meat Grinder, Die a Violent Death has ripped its four tales of terror straight from Thailand’s most insane headlines. Yep, nothing like a little dose of reality to get the old blood pumping!
The first story, “Flame”, tells the tale of a man who is haunted by regret and a ghost after he survives a nightclub fire that killed his girlfriend. The next, “Imprison”, centers upon a prisoner who questions his sanity after his cell-mate hangs himself. From there we get “Revenge”, which shows us what happens when a deaf-mute drug dealer kills a female thief in his apartment and then makes the mistake of stashing her corpse in his apartment building’s water duct. Smart. Rounding out the anthology is a segment called “Haunting Motel”, which tells the story of … well, stop us if you’ve heard this one … an aging hooker, a gay guy, and his straight buddy walk into a hotel owned by a loony old woman that is haunted by a murderer who seeks out female victims. We assume the punchline will be gore-soaked.
