With Grudge creator Takashi Shimizu’s Flight 7500 finally being released on DVD Stateside this week, now seems like a perfect time to present the trailer for his next film, Rain Woman (original title: Ame Onna). And what a damn creepy trailer it is at that!

When Rain Woman hits Japanese screens this summer, it be released in the 4K format, to allow for the optimal cinematic experience, which  also sounds pretty damn awesome.

It follows a depressed woman called Rika, who is being haunted by a recurring dream about a young girl waiting for a train in a torrential downpour, only for a woman with a young boy to mysteriously appear on the tracks and be hit by the approaching train. When Rika returns to her hometown on the anniversary of her mother’s death, the dreams intensify.

We’re still awaiting news of a US release date, and hopefully this time it won’t take several years.
