The acclaimed British series “Black Mirror” has proven itself a big hit here in the States ever since being put up for viewing on Netflix, and the streaming service is currently working on a brand new “Black Mirror” series of its own. Today brings the latest bit of casting news, so read on.
Per Deadline, actress Madeline Brewer (“Hemlock Grove,” “Orange Is the New Black”) has boarded an episode of the new series as the female lead. She will star opposite Malachi Kirby, with Jakob Verbruggen directing. The episode is called “Men Against Fire,” though plotlines are being kept closely under wraps.
Joe Wright (Atonement) will be directing another one of the episodes with Bryce Dallas Howard and Alice Eve starring.
Created and written by Charlie Brooker, “Black Mirror” taps into our collective unease with the modern world, and each stand-alone episode is a suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia.
