Amanda Seyfried to Star In Catherine Hardwicke’s The Girl With the Red Riding Hood?
“Big Love” and Jennifer’s Body star Amanda Seyfried is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s go-to girls, and with good reason — she brings a freshness to even the most mundane of roles. Good thing for us she’s looking to continue to work within the genre.
The LA Times reports that Warner Bros. appears to be making strides toward getting its own Gothic story of werewolves and young-women-in-peril closer to the screen with Twilight director Catherine Harwicke at the helm. Seems like a safe enough bet to rake in the tweener dough, no?
The Girl with the Red Riding Hood is picking up momentum and has gotten itself a shiny new script written by David Johnson (Orphan). Seyfried is without question the frontrunner to topline the project, which is a retelling of the old Red Riding Hood fairy tale. According to the Times Warner needs to go into production soon if they’re going to keep Hardwicke on board.
Look for more soon.
