More Sign On For Death Race: Frankenstein Lives
Shooting began over this past weekend on the prequel to Paul Anderson’s Death Race, cleverly titled Death Race: Frankenstein Lives, and as a result a bit more casting news has come to light that includes a couple of recent genre heavy hitters.
According to Shock Till You Drop joining the previously announced Luke Goss and Tanit Phoenix (must resist reading that as Taint; must resist reading that as Taint) will be Sean Bean as Luke’s old mob boss, Ving Rhames (pictured right) as the man responsible for giving the greenlight to the Death Race (he’s apparently a “Rupert Murdoch” type), and Danny Trejo as Luke’s pal in prison. And Frederick Koehler will reprise his role as “Lists.”
Director Roel Reiné will be working from a script penned by Tony Giglio, which is once again set at Terminal Island where a man named Carl “Luke” Lucas enters the titular game. Essentially it’s a look at a previous “Frankenstein” before Anderson’s film put Jason Statham into the boots of the character.
