In the vein of Eli Roth’s Rotten Fruit comes a new R-rated animated comedy which seems pretty sadistic in the cutest of ways. Get ready for a Sausage Party the likes of which you’ve never seen!
From Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the film features the vocal talents of a who’s who of today’s comedy stars – Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan direct.
This doesn’t look like the kind of thing we’ll be covering a lot around here, but it made us laugh and we’d be remiss if we didn’t share. Look for it in theatres August 12, 2016.
Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.
