See Nightbreed Uncut for the First Time EVER

Now this is what I call exciting. We reported a few months ago that the lost footage from Clive Barker’s Nightbreed had been found, and now if you’re willing to make a trip, you can be amongst the few to see it!

Lucky fans attending the March HorrorHound convention in Indianapolis will be the first to see a screening of the extended 145-minute cut of the movie with Barker in attendance. I swear that’s nearly enough to make me start packing my bags right now!

Hit up the above link for more details, and check out the drool worthy (if only for the terminology) poster for the event below.

  1. Fantastic news that the footage has been found! Always loved the film, even through that nagging feeling it gave of having been heavily edited. An upcoming DVD release is required by Horror-Fan Law.

  2. Holy Shit! I hadn’t known that they were going to be showing this there! I was all psyched for the chance to meet Romero and Barker for the first time, but now I’m in complete geekgasm! It’s a great thing to be in Indy right now, of course we got that other thing that’s dealing with sports, but this is 100 times better!

  3. i think a dvd release for this now is gonna happen hopefully as early as halloween 2010 me thinks who knows we might even get a blu-ray though not sure if warner bros still has the rights to it or not

  4. this should be put out on DVD. a 1 time only showing in indianapolis? come on.

what an incredible break. now if only they find the lost and supposedly fantastically gory footage for event horizon that graced the pages of fangoria magazine all those years ago…..

      • Event Horizon featuring all the extra footage is like the Holy Grail to me! I swear, I’m sure that before its release I watched some promo thing on TV which showed the scene where Joely Richards is watching the huge tank fill up with blood, which then shatters. However, in the promo I saw, just before it shattered there was a ragged, bloody hand which hit against the glass from inside. Looking back at the deleted footage we’ve seen, I’m sure it was Weir – who then follows them as he crawls down the ladder upside-down.

Has anyone else ever seen that?
