Now that Blu-ray is accepted as the next-gen medium of choice (though I still think we’re headed to a digital download age, which sucks because many of us like having hard copies of movies), studios are finally unlocking their vaults and dropping some pretty nifty classics on us!
According to Blu-ray.com the following titles are on their way to high-def land:
Blue Underground is releasing Lucio Fulci’s City of the Living Dead on May 25th sporting a new transfer and a new documentary called the Making of City of the Living Dead. Other pre-existing special features will be imported.
Deep Blue Sea will street from Warner Bros. on August 3rd.
Forbidden Planet and Mars Attacks! will hit on September 7th, and there are rumblings that we’ll see The Exorcist this October, hopefully with that kick-ass Fear of God documentary.
Rumor has it that Universal will be releasing Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park on Blu-ray sometime toward the end of 2010.
