Jordan to Make a Killing

Guillermo del Toro, being the busy, multiple-Oscar nominated director that he is (Pan’s took home the Best Cinematography, Art Direction, and Makeup awards), can’t be expected to keep all his juggling pins up in the air, which is why New Line has brought in Neil Jordan (The Company of Wolves, The Crying Game) to do a re-write on and direct Killing on Carnival Row, according to Variety, a project that was initally set to be directed by del Toro.

Killing on Carnival Row is about a Victorian city inhabited by humans, elves, faeries, and vampires with a detective hot on the trail of a serial killer within. Though I’m always thrilled to hear about a new project del Toro has been attached to, Jordan is definitely an interesting choice to fill his shoes on this project.

Unfortunately that’s all the updates we have on the project, but it’s good to see New Line moving forward with this one, which we’ve not heard much about since it was initially announced back in 2005.
