The Ring and The Grudge Collide in Sadako vs. Kayako; First Teaser Trailer

Earlier this year, news of a mash-up film titled Sadako vs. Kayako hit the net, though as it turned out, it was merely a fun April Fools’ joke. But that joke has become reality, as J-horror franchises The Grudge and The Ring will soon collide in the form of, well, Sadako vs. Kayako.
On tap today is the first teaser for the Kōji Shiraishi-directed film, which is set to hit Japanese theaters next June. Kadokawa and NBCUniversal Japan are partnering on this bit of silliness, which will essentially be the J-horror answer to Freddy vs. Jason. Only with more meowing children.
Mizuki Yamamoto will play Yūri Kurahashi, who is caught between Sadako and Kayako.
