Twilight Saga: New Moon – TV Spot #2 and a Clip Called Celebrate

What with various clips and promos scattered among iTunes, Fandango, Yahoo, and the TV gossip shows, the powers-that-be who dole out the goods for Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon have been working overtime this past week. To close things out with a bang, they’ve released a second TV commercial and a brief clip of Bella and Edward discussing her birthday.
TV Spot #2, “Save Her” (a better name than the previous one, called simply “Event”), debuted on ET and provides a recap of all the people in Bella (Kristen Stewart)’s life who are trying to protect her — such as her vampire love Edward Cullen (Rob Pattinson) and her werewolf friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) — as well as those who are trying to hurt her, including both Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) and the Volturi, especially the powerful pain-inflicting Jane (Dakota Fanning).
Next is the snippet entitled New Moon: Celebrate. Yes, it’s only a scant 9 seconds, but it’s one of the few interactions between Bella and Edward that we’ve seen from the film, so on that basis alone it warrants attention. Thankfully the chemistry between the two leads improves upon what we saw in the original Twilight, which was painful at best.
