The third installment in the Zero Escape game series will be titled Zero Time Dilemma when it comes to the US next summer on both 3DS and PS Vita, publisher Aksys Games has confirmed. We don’t have many details about the game yet (we did a roundup of everything that was available back in July), but at least we now know that we’ll definitely be able to play it. And they did unveil some very cool new artwork that you can see below.

The visual novel series follows a mysterious rabbit-like being called Zero III who kidnaps people and forces them to take part in bizarre life or death games. Yeah. Pure Japanese weirdness. The games are also known for incorporating philosophical themes into their narrative. I guess a philosophical debate that we could enter into now is why the hell are games still being released on the PS Vita? Even Sony has more or less dropped all first-party support for that failed system.

Announcement:
Time Is Always Against Us…

In keeping with the season and celebrating all things sinister and diabolic, Aksys Games and Spike Chunsoft would like to announce that the official North American title for Zero Escape 3 is… (drum roll please)… Zero Time Dilemma! Building on the success of its predecessors, Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, and Virtue’s Last Reward, series mastermind Kotaro Uchikoshi has pulled out all the stops to deliver the most compelling and mind-shredding gaming experience ever seen on a handheld platform.

Choice is your only method of salvation and your only means of escape. How much of your humanity will you sacrifice to earn your freedom? As a new age of ruin looms large on the horizon, you must make impossible decisions and weather unimaginable consequences as you straddle the line between absolution and damnation. Plan your escape. Summer 2016.
