According to NBC4 and brought to our attention by Mental Floss, Halloween festivities started a little earlier than planned this year when a 350-pound inflatable pumpkin escaped its confines and took off down a busy street in Peoria, Arizona.
The enormous 12-foot tall gourd broke free from a Halloween display and bounced away, taking out several street lights along the way. After traveling half a mile, the decoration was retrieved from someone’s backyard. Luckily, no one was injured during the spooky kerfuffle.
