Berryman Vs. Job?
Religious horror is a bit of a soft spot for me since I was more or less raised in a church, so when a project like Job, which promises to both offend the religious right and defend horror fans, comes along, I’m more than a little curious. The cast is already looking good for the film, including Bill Moseley and Lee Perkins, but it seems the filmmakers aren’t stopping there.
Rumor came across our virtual desks today that none other than Michael Berryman, last seen in an all-too-brief cameo in The Devil’s Rejects, has been added to the film’s impressive roster. We’ve not been able to get an answer about the rumor’s validity one way or the other from the creators, which is usually a good sign. We’ll let you know when it’s official!
And speaking of Job’s creators; while we were out, the team went and set up a brand-new film series going down in Denton, TX that will debut on July 14th at midnight with Friday the 13th Part VII. Called Friday Night Frights, the ongoing showcase promises “new and old favorites from the genre with a variety of special guests from the films, 3D presentations and movies that aren’t out on DVD. These events will be tons of fun because you’ll be able to watch these classics with fellow fans of the genre while eating and drinking.”
Now that, friends, is what I’m talking about! Check out the official MySpace page for Friday Night Frights right here for more!
