Trailer Takes You Deep into The Forest

Beneath Mount Fuji lies Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, commonly known as “The Suicide Forest.” Thousands of people have ended their lives there, making the spooky locale the perfect setting for a horror film. Jason Zada’s The Forest is that movie, and on tap today is the creepy trailer.

Written by Sarah Cornwell and Nick Antosca, and based on an idea by David S. Goyer, the film was directed by Jason Zada. Natalie Dormer (“Game of Thrones”) stars alongside Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken, and Yukiyoshi Ozawa.

Synopsis:
A supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. A young American woman, Sara, goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate – only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest.
