Parasyte – The Maxim Trailer Invades Your Brain

With Parasyte – The Maxim set to premiere on Toonami on October 3rd, a new trailer has been released to give you an idea of what to expect.
Based on the manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki, which ran from 1988-1995, Parasyte follows a kid whose hand bonds with an alien creature after it fails to infiltrate his brain while he was sleeping as he was wearing headphones. The kid and his alien hand then form a love/hate relationship as they become hunted by other infected humans.
At the time the manga was notable for its over-the-top violence and gore, something that will not be in short supply in the TV series. The manga was also recently adapted into two live-action movies which have not yet acquired US release dates.
