The folks over at Davis DVD got official confirmation of Lionsgate’s plans to release seven of the films from last fall’s After Dark HorrorFest in a box set come March 27th, the same day the films will be available separately.
The seven titles in this set are The Gravedancers, Penny Dreadful, The Hamiltons, Reincarnation, Wicked Little Things, Dark Ride and Unrest, reviews for all of which are in our review database if you missed them. Features will be the same on the discs in this box, which has an MSRP of $140, as they will be on the individual releases so you really can’t lose. Unless you hated all but one of them, of course…
Last year’s HorrorFest did much better for both After Dark Productions and all those involved bringing it to the big screen than anyone suspected it would, so of course another multi-city film festival is planned for this year, albeit in October instead of November to capitalize on Halloween, though personally I think the reason it did so well was the lack of competition… Keep it here for the latest on that outing as the titles are chosen throughout the year!
