First look at the 1408 trailer!Well, this was kind of out of nowhere. We’ve been hoping for more info on 1408, the Mikael (Evil) Hafstrom-helmed adaptation of the fantastic short story by Stephen King, but to date all has been pretty damn quiet.

Then all of a sudden the trailer showed up over on Yahoo! Movies today, and finally we can see what to expect when the film comes to theaters July 13th. For those not in the know, John Cusack plays Mike Enslin, a man who has spent most of his adult life looking for proof of the paranormal. He thinks Room 1408 in the Dolphin Hotel will be just another false alarm, but he couldn’t be more wrong. What lies inside that room is beyond anything he’s ever imagined.

From the look of the trailer Hafstrom did a good job expanding the short story, which was originally featured in the Everything’s Eventual King collection, and he had a damn fine cast to work with to do it including names like Samuel L. Jackson and Mary McCormack.
