The Blood Lands Clip Plans an Escape

One of the many horror films that hit home video yesterday was The Blood Lands, which comes our way courtesy of Magnolia’s genre arm, Magnet Releasing. If you’re not yet sold on giving this one a blind buy or VOD rental, whet your appetite with a new clip and both the red-band and green-band trailers!
The film was co-written by Susanna Fogel and Joni Lefkowitz (“Chasing Life”) and directed by Simeon Halligan (Splintered), Susanna Fogel, and Joni Lefkowitz.
Starring Pollyanna McIntosh (Filth, The Woman), the thriller follows Sarah (McIntosh) and Ed, who encounter luck when they buy a charming cottage set against the Scottish countryside. However, their joy turns to terror as darkness falls and they become bait in a sinister plot. Soon Sarah and Ed get separated in a lethal game of cat-and-mouse as they fight to survive.
Synopsis:
It’s Ed (Lee Williams) and Sarah’s (Pollyanna McIntosh) first night at their new home, an isolated farmhouse in the countryside. This should be a new beginning away from their stressful city lives, but as darkness falls, Sarah suspects they’re not alone. Ed goes to investigate, and quickly the evening becomes a nightmare. It suddenly dawns on them they do not belong here, and they’re certainly not welcome.
