Robert Kirkman Introduces Us to the Fear the Walking Dead Series Premiere

AMC has released a new teaser video for the upcoming Episode 1.01 of “Fear the Walking Dead,” and to give it a little extra oomph, it’s introduced by none other than The Walking Dead comic creator and series exec producer Robert Kirkman.

Be sure to check back tomorrow, too, for a look at the show’s opening scene.

“Fear the Walking Dead” premieres Sunday, August 23th, with a 90-minute episode. The first season will consist of 6 installments with the already confirmed 15-episode Season 2 airing in 2016.

The cast includes Cliff Curtis, Colman Domingo, Ruben Blades, Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam Carey, Mercedes Mason, Shawn Hatosy, Frank Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Lorenzo James Henrie. The series is set in Los Angeles and focuses on new characters and storylines.

Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert from “The Walking Dead” are executive producers of the new series, which, like the original, is being produced by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson (“Marco Polo,” “Sons of Anarchy”), who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an executive producer and showrunner.

Synopsis:
