Jones’ Moon Will Rise All Over the World!
One upcoming movie that I think everyone around these parts is really going to love is the Sam Rockwell tour de force Moon, and luckily for the world, its rights have been sold to just about every place imaginable.
According to Variety, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group (which previously secured all English-speaking territory rights) picked up Italy, Spain, Latin America, and all Asian territories excluding South Korea. And U.K. sales outfit Independent struck deals in France (Swift Distribution), Scandinavia (Nonstop Entertainment), Benelux (A-Film Distribution), Middle East (Shooting Stars), CIS (CP Digital), Poland (Monolith Films), Greece (Seven Films), Turkey (Mars Production), South Korea (Daisy Entertainment), and German-speaking Europe (Telepool).
That’s some serious distribution! And well deserved I must say. All credit goes to star Rockwell and director Duncan Jones for creating a moody, atmospheric as hell sci-fi thriller that’s sure to get people talking following its June 12th release in the US via Sony Pictures Classics. If you’re in the UK, your chance comes July 17th.
Take another look at the trailer below if you don’t believe me.
