Fear the Walking Dead – AMC Confirms Second Season
AMC is showing a lot of confidence in its upcoming spinoff “Fear the Walking Dead.” We’re still a ways out from the show’s premiere, but that hasn’t stopped the network from confirming at its Television Critics Association (TCA) presentation today that “Fear” will have a second season in 2016 comprised of 15 episodes.
“Fear the Walking Dead” premieres August 23, 2015. The first season will consist of six one-hour episodes.

The cast includes Cliff Curtis, Colman Domingo, Ruben Blades, Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam Carey, Mercedes Mason, Shawn Hatosy, Frank Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Lorenzo James Henrie. The series is set in Los Angeles and focuses on new characters and storylines.
Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert from “The Walking Dead” are executive producers of the new series, which, like the original, is being produced by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson (“Marco Polo,” “Sons of Anarchy”), who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an executive producer and showrunner.

Synopsis:
“Fear the Walking Dead” takes us back to the beginning of the zombie apocalypse – a time when the world was changing rapidly for reasons unknown, before anyone understood exactly what was happening, when life as everyone knew it was upended and altered in ways no one could have ever imagined.
