Toolbox Murders Sequel Talk and Casting NewsThe idea of a sequel to the remake of Toolbox Murders has been kicking around for a while without any movement. However, it seems now that things are progressing rather nicely, and there’s even a bit of casting news to speak of!

Bloody Disgusting got ahold of the man behind the long delayed sequel, Dean Jones, to get a handle on the situation.

Apparently Jones himself is set to direct the sequel to Toolbox Murders (with a working title of TBK) from his own screenplay. Casting is currently in progress, but Brain Krause, Jeffrey Combs, Tony Todd, Lance Henriksen, and Red West have all signed on board.

“This script is very powerful, provocative, and original and rises far above the last Toolbox,” he tells Bloody-Disgusting. “I work in a world where I create death on a daily basis, and so with that in mind this script will have highest body count ever in the history of horror films. However, the story will not be gore for the sake of having gore … it has depth and style.”

Okay. The man officially has our attention. Keep it right here for more as it comes.
