Queer Musical Artist Bright Light Bright Light On The Power of The Horror Score

Bright Light Bright Light

Rod Thomas, also known as queer pop artist Bright Light Bright Light, has loved horror since he was a child growing up in a small Welsh coal-mining town. Horror even inspired his stage name, which is a quote from Gizmo in Joe Dante’s iconic creature feature Gremlins. While the music of Bright Light Bright Light pulses with electric energy and disco beats, horror still permeates every aspect of Thomas’s musical career, from lyrics to music video aesthetics.

Thomas spoke with us about his love of giallo, his musical homage to Alien Resurrection, and his personal favorite horror scores.
