Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Her Private Hell’ Heads to Cannes; First Photo an Synopsis!
Her Private Hell, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, will be presented Out of Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, 10 years after his last film, The Neon Demon.
Included with the announcement was the first official look at the film and long-awaited synopsis:
“The film follows a woman searching for her father as a strange mist engulfs their city and unleashes an elusive, deadly presence.”
Her Private Hell stars Sophie Thatcher (Companion, Heretic, Yellowjackets), Charles Melton (May December), Kristine Froseth, and Havana Rose Liu (No Exit).
Refn characterizes Her Private Hell as an original story driven by “glitter, sex, and violence,” firmly within his established stylistic territory.
Also starring: Dougray Scott (Irvine Welsh’s Crime), Diego Calva (Babylon), Aoi Yamada (Perfect Days), Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool & Wolverine), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car).
